Questions riders ask
These are the questions we get on WhatsApp and at hubs every week, answered the way we’d answer them at the counter. If something here doesn’t match what you were told, the app and your rental agreement are the final word — and tell us, because it means we need to fix this page.

Getting started
What is Bounce Daily?
Bounce Daily is an electric two-wheeler rental service in India: you rent a scooter by the week or by the month, and the rental covers the vehicle, its servicing, insurance and roadside support. It is used mainly by delivery and gig riders who need a vehicle to earn on, and by daily commuters who don’t want to buy one. You rent through the Bounce Daily app, pick the scooter up from a hub in your city, and return it whenever your plan ends. Bounce Daily is currently live in 4 cities: Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
Which cities is Bounce Daily available in?
Bounce Daily operates in 4 Indian cities: Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Within each city, scooters are picked up from and returned to our hubs — 56 of them in total as of 13 August 2026. We add a city only once hubs, scooters and service staff are in place there, so if your city isn’t listed, we aren’t operating there yet.
Do I need a driving licence to rent a scooter?
It depends on the model. High-speed scooters need a valid Indian two-wheeler driving licence — a learner’s licence is not enough. The low-speed model needs no driving licence and no vehicle registration under Indian law, so riders without a licence can still rent one. You will still need to complete identity KYC either way.
What documents do I need to rent?
To rent from Bounce Daily you need your Aadhaar for identity verification, a selfie taken in the app for a liveness check, and — for high-speed models only — a valid Indian two-wheeler driving licence. Everything is uploaded through the app; you don't need photocopies or physical documents at the hub. Verification is usually completed within minutes, and you'll be told in the app if something needs to be re-uploaded.
How long does KYC take, and why does it get rejected?
KYC on Bounce Daily is usually verified within a few minutes of upload. The common reasons it fails are a blurred or cropped document photo, a name or date of birth that doesn't match between your Aadhaar and your driving licence, an expired driving licence, or a selfie that doesn't clearly match the document photo. If your KYC is rejected, the app tells you the reason and you can re-submit — there is no charge for re-submitting, and no limit that locks you out permanently.
How soon can I actually get a scooter?
Most riders can collect a scooter the same day. Once your KYC is verified and you've paid the deposit and first rental in the app, you go to the hub you selected and collect the scooter during hub working hours. The one thing that can delay you is availability: a specific model at a specific hub can be fully rented out, and the app shows you live availability before you pay.
Money
What do I pay before I can ride?
Two payments: a refundable security deposit, starting at ₹1,000, and your first rental payment, starting at ₹7,499 for a month. There is no joining fee, no processing charge and no down payment. The deposit is not a fee — it comes back to you when you return the scooter.
Is the security deposit refundable, and when do I get it back?
Yes, the Bounce Daily security deposit is fully refundable. It is returned after you hand the scooter back at a hub and it’s been inspected, minus any unpaid rental dues, traffic challans, or repair costs for damage beyond normal wear. The refund goes back to the payment method you used, once the return is closed out at the hub.
How much does it cost per month?
Bounce Daily plans start at ₹7,499 a month, and the exact price depends on your city, the scooter model and how long you commit for. Longer plans cost less per day than shorter ones. The app shows the full current price list, and live prices for your specific hub, before you pay anything.
Can I pay weekly instead of monthly?
Yes, weekly plans are available in most cities, starting at ₹1,749 a week. Weekly plans cost more per day than monthly ones, so they make sense if you’re trying the service out or only need a scooter for a short stretch. You can switch to a monthly plan at your next renewal.
What happens if I miss a payment?
If a rental payment is missed, the amount stays on your Bounce Daily account as dues and the scooter can be immobilised remotely until the dues are cleared. You can pay from the app at any time, and the scooter is released once payment goes through. If dues stay unpaid, the rental can be ended, the scooter recovered from you, and your security deposit used to settle what's owed.
Is there a kilometre limit, and what do extra kilometres cost?
Standard plans include a kilometre allowance that varies by plan and city — the app shows the exact figure for each plan. Kilometres beyond your plan’s limit are charged at ₹1.30–₹1.50/km (top-up tiers) and added to your account. Some plans in some cities come without a cap — the app shows each plan’s kilometre limit before you pay, so check it if you’re doing heavy delivery mileage.
The scooter
Where do I charge it, how long does it take, and what does it cost?
You charge a Bounce Daily scooter from an ordinary 5A household socket using the charger handed to you at the hub — no special installation is needed. Charging time and cost depend on the model and your local electricity rate; the app shows the estimate for your specific bike. Electricity is not included in the rental; it’s the one running cost you keep paying, and it’s the reason the total still works out well below petrol.
How far will it go on a full charge?
Range on a full charge depends on the model — the app shows the rated range for your specific bike before you rent it. Real range is lower than the rated figure if you ride at top speed continuously, carry heavy delivery loads, or ride in heavy stop-start traffic. Riders doing long delivery shifts usually top up mid-day rather than running a single charge to empty.
Who pays for servicing, repairs and spare parts?
Bounce Daily pays for servicing and for repairs from normal wear — brakes, tyres, lights, and electrical parts that fail on their own — and the work is done at our hubs at no cost to you. You pay only for damage you cause: accident repairs, misuse, and lost or broken accessories like the charger, keys or helmet. There is no per-service charge and no annual maintenance package to buy; it's inside the rental.
Can I use the scooter for delivery work on Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit or Zepto?
Yes. Bounce Daily scooters are rented for exactly this — most of our riders use them for food and grocery delivery, and the plans and kilometre limits are built around delivery shifts. You don't need our permission for a specific platform. What you can't do is sub-rent the scooter to someone else or hand it to another rider to use.
Can someone else ride the scooter?
No. The scooter is rented to you, and only you may ride it. If someone else rides it and there's an accident, damage, or a challan, you are still the person responsible for it, and insurance can be refused if the rider wasn't the person on the rental agreement. Sub-renting the scooter to anyone else is a breach of the rental terms and can end the rental.
Can I take the scooter to another city?
No. Bounce Daily scooters must stay within the city you rented them in, and must be returned to a hub in that city. This is partly insurance and registration, and partly practical: if you break down outside our service area, we can't get to you. If you're moving cities permanently, return the scooter and start a fresh rental in the new city if we operate there.
When things go wrong
What do I do if the scooter breaks down on the road?
Call Bounce Daily support on 08069760700 or raise it in the app, and tell us where you are. We’ll either fix it on the spot, or bring the scooter in and give you a replacement so you’re not off the road for the day. Don’t attempt roadside repairs yourself or take it to an outside mechanic — you’ll be liable for anything that goes wrong afterwards, and you won’t be reimbursed.
What if the scooter is damaged, or I have an accident?
Report it to Bounce Daily immediately on 08069760700, and file a police FIR if anyone is injured or another vehicle is involved. The scooter is insured, but insurance doesn’t cover everything: your excess, damage from riding without a valid licence, riding under the influence, or letting someone else ride, all fall on you. Repair costs that aren’t covered are recovered from your security deposit, and if the damage exceeds the deposit, the balance is billed to you.
What if the scooter is stolen?
Report the theft to Bounce Daily on 08069760700 the moment you notice, and file a police FIR the same day — the FIR is what makes an insurance claim possible, and without one the loss falls on you. Our scooters carry GPS tracking, so tell us quickly and there’s a real chance of recovery. Always lock the scooter and park it in visible, lit places; theft claims are much harder where the scooter was left unlocked.
Who pays traffic challans?
You do. Any traffic challan issued while the scooter is with you — speeding, no helmet, wrong-side, parking — is your responsibility, even though the challan arrives at the registered owner's address, which is us. We pass the challan to you and recover the amount from your account or your deposit. Pay it promptly; unpaid challans accumulate against the vehicle and against your rental.
Ending the rental
How do I return the scooter and close my rental?
Book a return slot in the app, bring the scooter to any Bounce Daily hub in your city with the charger, keys and any accessories issued to you, and hand it over during hub hours. A staff member inspects it, records the condition and closes the rental. Your deposit refund is initiated after that inspection. You cannot close a rental by simply parking the scooter somewhere — until it’s handed over at a hub, it’s still on your account.
Privacy and support
Does the app track my location?
Yes, and here’s exactly what for. The Bounce Daily app collects your device’s precise GPS location to find hubs near you, to confirm you’re in a city we serve, and — during an active rental — to record the scooter’s location in the background, including when the app is closed, for ride safety and for recovering lost or stolen scooters. This data goes over HTTPS to our servers and is not sold or shared with advertisers. You can revoke location access in your device settings, and you can request deletion of your data by writing to dpo@bounceshare.com. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
How do I contact Bounce Daily support?
Call 08069760700, message us on WhatsApp, or raise a ticket from inside the app, where support can already see your rental and doesn’t have to ask you for details. For anything about your personal data — access, correction, deletion, or a complaint — write to our Grievance Officer at dpo@bounceshare.com.
